Day 3

Today was tough and I’m bushed. The kingdom fence posts are deeper than I thought. They might even be cemented in. Looks like we’ll need an extra shovelful of faith to move them. Seeing my wife distressed is the most difficult part of our trial. Every inch of my soul wants to fix it for her. I look forward to her joy being restored above all other aspects of God’s deliverence! My writing time today was spent seeking God, but He surprised me with a brief poem. It appears to be for anyone stuck waiting in front of the enemy’s camp horn. PS: the mention of George Mueller will get your ears boxed at our house :-)

It’s George Mueller day at our house and I smell smoke.
It’s either fire in my spirit or the burning of my hope.
The enemy’s bound at the window but he’s blocking all the light
Shouting “be still and panic – your God has left you in the night
You’re Lilly of the valley died forever on that hill
Now unbind me and I’ll help you with this tiny red pill
C’mon! Your mailbox is empty and your mind is full
The tug-o-war was lost because you never did pull”

My scripture focus today is short but the verses are a powerful balm for a troubled mind. If you’ve been waiting on God, there is always a period that screams “retreat – disaster on the way!!”. If you are there, with us, Please take 10 minutes and meditate on these verses – it will bring peace to your mind and hope to your heart- don’t delay !

1 Peter 5: 6-10
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8 Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

I hope that you will see God’s hand move in your life today, but if you don’t, then wait and wait some more.
Let’s wait together and pray…

Lord, remove from us every hook of the enemy and sew his mouth shut.
We know that victory is assured for all who wait patiently on you!
Thank you for waiting on us. We repent of our doubts!
Mentor us Father – whatever the cost!
There is no name by which we pray but Jesus – Your will be done absolutely! Amen
